Well, I can’t believe it. I am 12 weeks pregnant today. Bump is due on the 8th November. One day after my dad’s birthday. I have wanted a baby for so long. I still in a bit of shock, too be honest that it is actually happening. However, Stuart and I are both really happy and cannot wait to meet her or him. I had to miss two periods before the pregnancy test was positive. My periods had been very irregular for a while so missing one was not really a big deal. Missing two was though!
Pregnancy has not been too bad for me so far. I have been tired for what seems like ages. I have been feeling off since February but thought it was due to working too hard, instead of pregnancy. I had two weeks of really awful morning sickness (its actually all day sickness but they don’t tell you that!) where even going to work was a challenge. At the moment, I still feel tired all the time and am waking up two or three times in the night but otherwise I am OK. I have a little bump already and have been in maternity clothes since I was 8 weeks pregnant. The picture below was taken on Good Friday and shows what my bump looks like now.
I was not at my thinnest before I got pregnant and I am a little bit anyway (I am only 5ft tall!) so that is why I think my bump has shown really early. My friends and work colleagues teased me that it could be twins, especially since they run in Stuart’s family. When we went for the dating scan, I did ask them to check it was only one. I would like to thank my family, friends and work colleagues who knew for all their support so far. It is much appreciated
Thanks to you as well for reading my first post on this new blog. I do hope you will be back for more. Bump and I will
