#embracehappy – The First Two Weeks

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about how I was not feeling myself and have been suffering from mild postnatal depression. Well, over the last two weeks I have tried really hard to slow down, take things a bit easier and enjoy the smaller things in life. The PND cloud is still hanging over me but I know the trigger signs now for when it will make it known and do my best to avoid them, even if it means I just simply have to walk out of whatever room I am in.
I am taking more time to myself and have even managed to do some baking again for the first time since Daniel was born. Next week, I am planning on treating myself to a couple of new summer dresses and sandals so I can feel happy and confidence when I go to BlogCamp next Saturday in Birmingham.
To make me appreciate the smaller things in life, I have started doing #3goodthings. The idea was started by Karin of Cafe Bebe who is encouraging us to find the positives in life each day and list them every night. Mine from the last two weeks are above (I missed a couple of days!) Karin has also suffered with PND too and started this to help get her through the days being a busy working mum of two.     What a lovely post and great progress you have made. PND does not have a miracle cure. It can be easy to fall into that dark hole but how brilliant that you are already recognising the signs. That will help you so much. Be kind to yourself and remember to breathe! Thank you for your support of Embrace Happy. Keep on doing what you’re doing!

    so sorry you have been suffering with PND Jo, that must be really hard to cope with esepcially with two little ones (hugs)

    I’m glad you’re starting to feel better and recognise the trigger signs, this gratitude idea really does work, I did this after my son was born and it made a huge difference. Not sure why I stopped but I’ve started #3GoodThings too.
