I am sure I have told you before about my love for Hotter Shoes? Well, I discovered them last year after being told by a physiotherapist that I needed better and more comfort shoes due to a problem I have with my knees. I spent most of my teenage years wearing shoes without any arch support (or really any support at all!) and am now suffering the consequences. During my pregnancy with Daniel my knee pain got so bad I could barely walk at times. I have not been able to kneel properly since being pregnant with Thomas. I tried my first pair of Hotter Shoes (a pair of trainers) in the summer last year and have not purchased shoes from anywhere else since.
Recently, I was invited to a #shoesietuesday event at Hotter in Solihull with some fellow bloggers including Emma, Erica, Zoe and Joy. We were welcomed by Melanie and team and were greeted with large glasses of Prosecco and lovely nibbles. Melanie told us a brief history about the company (did you know they started out making slippers?) and how they make their shoes in their UK factory using The Comfort Concept. After this, they us loose in the store to find a new pair of shoes for ourselves. As stated in a previous post, I love my Rumba shoes and have started wearing them regularly with dresses and leggings. I love this look as it looks like you have made an effort without actually doing anything at all. However, the Rumba shoes are more my going out/party shoes. I cannot really wear them day to day. I wanted a pair of shoes that would go with this look in the day.
With the help of the fabulous Hotter staff and after trying on a few pairs of shoes, I eventually settled on these Jewel shoes. For years, I have wanted to wear ballerina type shoes but due to the lack of support they normally offer, I have avoided them. The Jewel shoes have hidden arch support within the shoe so I can wear them and still feel supported. Here is the video that was filmed by Hotter on the night of my initial impressions of my new shoes.
I have been wearing the Jewel shoes for about a month now. They are very comfy. There has been a little bit of rubbing as I am still breaking them in, however once they are broken in they will be fine and I will be wearing them all the time. I have even brought some knee high tights so I can wear the shoes as the weather gets colder.
